An absolute gem of California climbing, the Owens is a sport climbing mecca near Bishop in the Eastern Sierra. There are over 1,000 routes on the unique and varied basalt and volcanic tuff cliffs. Splitter cracks, pockets, and edges abound on the mostly vertical walls.
The Owens is a fantastic place to log a bunch of mileage or build confidence in your skills as an independent climber. Whether you are learning to lead or learning to big wall the Owens makes a great classroom.
