Lover’s Leap is a striking granite cliff band that looms above Highway 50 and the local community of Strawberry. It is the premier multi-pitch trad climbing venue in all of Tahoe! At Lover’s Leap, you’ll find granite walls ranging from 200 to 500 feet tall making this the perfect venue to learn multi-pitch skills or enjoy some classic climbs.
There are over 200 routes and each wall has a variety of climbs that range from low fifth class to 5.11, which means there’s something for first-timers and seasoned climbers alike!
Lover’s Leap is located in Strawberry, CA and is just under an hour and half drive from Sacramento which makes it an ideal location for a day trip. There’s also a cozy campground at the base if you want to camp out under the stars after a fulfilling day of climbing.
